How to restore Windows 10, simple method

How to restore Windows 10, simple method. How to restore Windows 10 to factory data. There are several reasons why you may need to restore a Windows 10 PC to factory settings. You have installed too many apps and you just have to start cleaning. Or you have decided to sell your PC or solve some other problem.

In any case, you can restore Windows 10 very quickly and without problems.
There are two main methods of doing this and we will cover them both here. Here's how to restore Windows 10 to factory settings! You can also restore Windows 10 with a complete reinstallation of Windows 10.

We describe below how to do it in our tutorial here! Also, do not forget to make a backup of data, photos, videos, music, etc . before restoring Windows 10 or you may lose everything!

How to restore Windows 10 via the Settings menu

The fastest, simplest and easiest method is to restore Windows 10 from the Settings menu as you would with your phone. Here's how to do it:

Back up  all sensitive data that you don't want to delete. Trust us, errors happen and it's easier to restore from a backup than to start over.

Open the Start menu  and press the gear wheel icon in the Settings menu   on the left margin.
Select Update and Security,  then click the Restore option   on the left margin.
Press the Start button  in the Restore this PC section   of the Restore menu.

A screen will appear asking if you want to keep your files or  remove everything . As you can imagine, the first option allows you to keep your personal files such as photos or documents and the second option removes everything when you restore Windows 10. Select the one you want.

Continue to follow the instructions until the system starts data recovery.

Here is Microsoft's tutorial in case you need further clarification  .

The computer may restart several times during this process. You should leave it alone until the Windows 10 installation screen appears. When this happens, you're done! Your computer should return to the original factory settings with or without your personal files depending on the option you have chosen. This is the easiest option to restore Windows 10.

How to restore Windows via the boot menu

Sometimes the damage is severe enough that the computer cannot actually access Windows. This isn't a big deal because you can access a factory reset without logging in to the operating system. This method is a little more complicated, but honestly it's not that difficult.

Note : Windows 10 should automatically start in the Advanced Boot Options menu   if it cannot boot itself in Windows 10. If your PC is unable to access Windows 10, you should be able to automatically get here.

If the PC is stuck in a boot cycle, simply disconnect the power (desktop) or remove the battery (laptop) and try again.

Once you are in the Advanced Boot Options, select the option  resolution of  problems . You should find the Restore Windows 10 option  there. Simply follow the same steps as method 1 from this point.
The factory reset should now take place and, just like method 1, the computer should restart a few times and eventually return to the Windows 10 installation screen.

If, for some reason, it doesn't work and your computer doesn't start , you may have a hardware problem or you may need to reinstall Windows 10.  Here is our tutorial on how to reinstall Windows 10 in case you need it.
